Unasyn is the trade name for Sulbactam and Ampicillin, an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. Unasyn belongs to the class of penicillin antibiotics and beta-lactamase inhibitor. Unasyn is used as an antibiotic and is indicated in the following conditions such as skin and soft tissue infections of bacterial origin, acute otitis media, pyelonephritis, pneumonia, bacterial sinusistis, urinary tract infections, and bacterial pharyngitis.This list is not exhaustive and may omit other indications and uses for Unasyn.
